As the Creative Director of Young & Co Interiors, my approach to design is deeply personal. Growing up, my family didn’t always have the means to create a home that felt beautiful or thoughtfully styled. While we had what we needed, I developed a lasting appreciation for how powerful it can be when a home feels like it truly belongs to you—a place where you feel at ease, proud, and uplifted.

That belief guides every project we take on. To me, a house should be more than just a structure; it should be a home. A place where you can gather with friends and family, share meals, celebrate milestones, and create lasting memories. It should support how you live, bringing comfort and connection to your everyday moments.

I’m passionate about working with character homes, from grand Victorian villas and Federation cottages to elegant bungalows and mid-century residences—drawing inspiration from their architectural beauty and the environments they sit within. I believe in respecting what makes these homes special while thoughtfully modernising them, introducing elements of luxury, comfort, and functionality that enhance daily living without losing their inherent charm.

Whether it’s a Victorian villa in the leafy streets of Adelaide, a bungalow in the eastern suburbs, a farmhouse that embraces its rural surroundings, or a beach house that connects seamlessly with its coastal landscape, I believe in designing homes that are not only beautiful and timeless but also deeply connected to their environment.
